#1 Haru in Harajuku

Hello Everyone! This is the first post of hopefully many for my Blog Series "Haru in Harajuku".

This post will feature an outfit I put together using items from various popular Harajuku brands, local Australian brands and online boutiques I want to have an outfit put together for every new post so if you have an requests for brands for the next couple posts comment below or tell me on Twitter.

Okay! Lets Go!

First up is this outfit I put together using items from Candy Stripper,Reebok,Diva and an ebay boutique called Mysterieux Paradis!

First I will start with the top or sweater which is from Candy Stripper. It is available online for around $74AUD from the Candy Stripper website.

The next item is the skirt and leggings, I want to make this outfit have a lot of color so I went for a pink skirt and tattoo leggings. Both of these items are from Mysterieux Paradis. The skirt is $19.99AUD and the leggings are $9.99AUD.

For shoes I thought a nice pair of sneakers that would match the sweater would go well, so I went to one of my favorite shoe brands Reebok to find some sneakers.  I choose the "Reebok Women's Freestyle Hi Reign-Bow Sneaker" in pink from Amazon, they are currently selling for $39.95 there.

Now for the final pieces and they are of course the accessories! For these I went to an Australian/New Zealand brand site called Diva. I matched up a set of rings, necklace and earrings. The rings and earrings are both $12.99AUD and the necklace is $29.99AUD. If you want you hands to stand out more try and find one big ring that matches up with one of the colors of the three rings(Powder Purple,Orange or Pink) and place it on the middle finger, this will draw more attention to your hand.

Okay, well that's the full look, I didn't want to add any hair accessories because everyone has different hair types and some accessories dont work well with some hair types. But if you want to add some try to find hair accessories that match the colors of the rings and necklace(Pink,Orange, Lavender,Powder Blue). As for other accessories like bags I think a bold color(necklace colors would probably match best) with a little patterning or design, or a multicolored bag. If you are curious about bags and dont know where to look try Mysterieux Paradis or  at a local JayJays(There website doesnt have many bags but some of their shops stock some good ones).

Okay, well that's it for the first Haru in Harajuku post! I think the further the posts go along I will start adding more then just 1 outfit...maybe some reviews on brands and such as I get more into it. If you have any suggestions for next months post please tell me in the comments below or on Twitter.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and is looking forward to school and uni starting back!
See you all later! ^.^

Weekend in Adelaide

Hi Guys! So this past weekend I headed down to Adelaide for a the usually family holiday trip. This time we spent 4 days in the beautiful city I like to call home!

The first thing on the agenda was to pick up a family friend from the airport. I wish I took some pictures of the construction that was being done on it! It looked amazing compared to the last time I saw it. Anyways from there we headed to Marion Shopping Center to get some lunch and watch Les Miserables! OMO! That movie was so beautifully filmed that I started crying when Anna Hathaway starting singing "I Dreamed a Dream". It is definitely a movie worth watching, but if you do decide to go see it I recommend you take some tissues and you are with people you dont mind crying with because I promise you that if you follow the movie the whole way you will cry a little bit.

After the movie finished we went back to the Majestic Old Lions Apartments. If anyone is staying in Adelaide any time soon I recommend you stay there. The rooms are great and its in the city so its easy to get around. Plus they have a beautifully court yard like place in the middle. Once we got to the apartments we rested but not for long because my little sister was extremely persistent to get her shopping spree started(It lasted for the whole 4 days!....not joking either!)

Saturday was by far the best day of the trip, apart from shopping all day we also went out to dinner at Parwana an Afghan restaurant on Henley Beach Road, but that was not the exciting part! The best part of the day was going to Cirque Du Soleil's OVO. It was my 4th Cirque Du Soleil show and it was awesome!!! The acts were so good, the music was great and it was so much fun!

While we were there I brought my sister a mask and she wore it around the tent before the show, we managed to get the attention of one of the performers who was walking around on stilts. I wasn't sure if I could take pictures in side the tent so I just left my iPod off for the majority of the time but I did manage to get a few pictures.

I loved the show so much! I cant wait for them to come back! My guess is that Kooza or Corteo will be the next show to tour Australia.

On the 3rd day of the trip we again went shopping all day....Mostly in Rundle Mall. On the way out of the mall we were going to get some snacks from my favorite Korean Cafe but they were closed! Hopefully next time I will be able to go there! T.T

That night we also went to Glenelg for some fish and chips, we got all dressed up and took a picture together. There was also fire throwing show on the beach too...but my sister wouldn't let us go see it...

The 4th and last day was again full of some shopping in the morning and the long drive home in the afternoon. I took a picture of all the stuff I brought once I got home. I am so happy to be home again even though I wish we lived in Adelaide, hopefully again one day!

Anyways sorry for the awfully long post, I wanted to post it over the 4 days but I couldn't get any internet while I was there. I hope you all had a great weekend.
See you soon! ^.^
