Hi Guys! Its been a while and usually I would post my Haru in Harajuku but I have been so busy with assignments that I havent got around to it! T.T
I know I am a bad blogger...I seriously have a stack of half finished blogs I wanted to post....Damn you HSC!!!..hehehe!
Anyways, today I just wanted to do a short blog on Double A's comeback!!! YAY!!!
If you dont already know I am the founder for Double A Australia and I am like crazy in love with them *cough! cough!* Hoik Biased *cough! cough!*
And today they finial released their video teaser for their first mini album. This is an exciting moment for W everywhere since it is their first mini album and we have been waiting for almost exactly 1 year for their comeback. Ironically Double A have chosen the song Come Back as their title song, judging from the teaser it upbeat but it has a kinda Japanese feel to it....I think that may be because of the little piano part but still the song sounds amazing from just listening to the teaser.
I could say a dozen more things just about the teaser but I would be here for a while.... So here is the teaser! I hope you enjoy! I promise I will be back soon with tons for posts!
Its that time of month again, its Haru in Harajuku time! For this post I decided to go a little darker with the outfit I put together. Okay lets get started!
Second piece is the leggings, these are from $15AUD from JayJays:
CROSS PRINT LEGGING
To go over the leggings I chose a pleated leather like skirt from Boohoo.com:
Liz Wet Look Scuba Box Pleat Skater Skirt
For shoes I thought ankle boots would go well,so I went to the Ruby Shoes(Cotton On) website and picked out some studded ankles boots for $39.95:
Sully Boots
Now for my favorite part, Accessories!!! ^.^
I want to had a small bit of color with the necklace so I went for a green and gold colored necklace from an online jewellery shop called Tiara for about $15AUD
GEOMETRY VINTAGE NECKLACE
For the bracelets I opted for all gold! Both from Equip and both $15AUD
SQUARE SPIKE STRETCH BRACELET(Bracelet 1)
Chunky Link Charm Bracelet(Bracelet 2)
The earrings that I choose are also from Equip, I find it easier to get things like bracelets and earring in the same shop because they general have a certain line or style that suits each other well. I chose to get a pair of earrings that matched well with the necklace to keep the greeny color a little consistent through the outfit. They can be brought from Equip for $8AUD
3 PACK OVAL EARRINGS
Okay that's it for the outfit, I hope you all liked it! For next months Haru in Harajuku I will be trying something new and show you all 3 of my favorite Lolita brands along with a cool website to get some cheap Lolita dresses and accessories. I hope everyone has a nice night and see you all again next month!
Bye!!! o(≧∀≦)o
Wow! Those holidays went by fast! School is back and University will be starting soon too!...
With the start of the school year I was going to do a post on my new school materials that I brought but they haven't been shipped yet so I will have to wait till later on in the month to talk about them.
For this post I wanted to talked about some of my new releases in the music world and some old songs that I have been obsessed with lately. Since late last year I have been stuck in a craze of 90s kpop music everything from DJ Doc to Fin K.L!
I like to think of 90s Kpop as my secret weakness,it is just so catchy that almost any of the songs from the time will get me dancing.I think out of all of the songs I have been listening to S#arp-Sweetly,H.O.T-Warrior's Descendant and Park JiYoon-Coming of Age Ceremony. These songs are so catchy and have awesome dances to go with them! If you haven't heard them scroll down a bit more to watch the MVs.
S#arp-Sweetly
H.O.T-Warrior Descendant
Park JiYoon-Coming of Age Ceremony
In modern day Kpop I like to keep a nice balance of poppy music, rap and band music. My poppy song of January was TinyG-Minimanimo. That song was so cute and sweet I also died fangirling when I first saw it! I think I am now official a TinyG fan, they are to adorable to ignore.
Okay for my rap favorite it had to be MFBTY-Sweet Dream anything with Yoon Mi Rae in it and I am sold, she is my idol in so many ways, she is one of the most amazing artist I have ever seen. But beside the fact she is in it, the song was overall great, probably one of the best rap releases for this half of the year,it was upbeat, fast paced and paired with the music video it was just...WOW!
My favorite band of the month is NeverMind, they are a new band in the Kpop scene and I think they are promoting in Korea and Thailand this year...I think its because their company is based there, but anyway their debut song was called Shooting Star and for all the Jrock fans out there who dont like Kpop ...you will like this, it is more rock then anything, but it still some how falls under Kpop After watching the MV I immediately thought they were basically the Korean version of SuG because they had a rock-pop image and used a lot of bright colors.
TinyG-Minimanimo
MFBTY-Sweet Dream
Nevermind-Shooting Star
That is all of my favorite Kpop songs for the month of January, I think I will try to do something like this once a month, then it help me keep up with new music in the Kpop world....it goes by so fast now! The jokes about a new group each week are almost true! But anyways I better get going before the pile of homework next me starts to grow!
Hello Everyone! This is the first post of hopefully many for my Blog Series "Haru in Harajuku".
This post will feature an outfit I put together using items from various popular Harajuku brands, local Australian brands and online boutiques I want to have an outfit put together for every new post so if you have an requests for brands for the next couple posts comment below or tell me on Twitter.
Okay! Lets Go!
First up is this outfit I put together using items from Candy Stripper,Reebok,Diva and an ebay boutique called Mysterieux Paradis!
First I will start with the top or sweater which is from Candy Stripper. It is available online for around $74AUD from the Candy Stripper website.
BONE CAT KNIT TOPS(Candy Stripper)
The next item is the skirt and leggings, I want to make this outfit have a lot of color so I went for a pink skirt and tattoo leggings. Both of these items are from Mysterieux Paradis. The skirt is $19.99AUD and the leggings are $9.99AUD.
Lolita Punk Kera Avril fever California Girl tiered ruffle petticoat Skirt pinK (Mysterieux Paradis)
Japan vivi visual Modern chic Emily's Jewel BOX layered-look tanning pantyhose (Mysterieux Paradis)
For shoes I thought a nice pair of sneakers that would match the sweater would go well, so I went to one of my favorite shoe brands Reebok to find some sneakers. I choose the "Reebok Women's Freestyle Hi Reign-Bow Sneaker" in pink from Amazon, they are currently selling for $39.95 there.
Reebok Women's Freestyle Hi Reign-Bow Sneaker (Amazon)
Now for the final pieces and they are of course the accessories! For these I went to an Australian/New Zealand brand site called Diva. I matched up a set of rings, necklace and earrings. The rings and earrings are both $12.99AUD and the necklace is $29.99AUD. If you want you hands to stand out more try and find one big ring that matches up with one of the colors of the three rings(Powder Purple,Orange or Pink) and place it on the middle finger, this will draw more attention to your hand.
Bright Enamel Rings 3 Pack (Diva)
Rainbow Enamel Studs 6 Pack (Diva)
City Lights Graduated Spike Bib Necklace (Diva)
Okay, well that's the full look, I didn't want to add any hair accessories because everyone has different hair types and some accessories dont work well with some hair types. But if you want to add some try to find hair accessories that match the colors of the rings and necklace(Pink,Orange, Lavender,Powder Blue). As for other accessories like bags I think a bold color(necklace colors would probably match best) with a little patterning or design, or a multicolored bag. If you are curious about bags and dont know where to look try Mysterieux Paradis or at a local JayJays(There website doesnt have many bags but some of their shops stock some good ones).
Okay, well that's it for the first Haru in Harajuku post! I think the further the posts go along I will start adding more then just 1 outfit...maybe some reviews on brands and such as I get more into it. If you have any suggestions for next months post please tell me in the comments below or on Twitter.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and is looking forward to school and uni starting back!
Just wanted to make a quick post on a new regular monthly post series I will be starting this Friday the 18th on Harajuku Fashion called "Haru in Harajuku".
It will basically be posts about my favorite clothing items, designers and other Harajuku related things. Expect them to be posted every month on the 18th.
Hope you are all looking forward to the new series of posts!
Hi Guys! So this past weekend I headed down to Adelaide for a the usually family holiday trip. This time we spent 4 days in the beautiful city I like to call home!
The first thing on the agenda was to pick up a family friend from the airport. I wish I took some pictures of the construction that was being done on it! It looked amazing compared to the last time I saw it. Anyways from there we headed to Marion Shopping Center to get some lunch and watch Les Miserables! OMO! That movie was so beautifully filmed that I started crying when Anna Hathaway starting singing "I Dreamed a Dream". It is definitely a movie worth watching, but if you do decide to go see it I recommend you take some tissues and you are with people you dont mind crying with because I promise you that if you follow the movie the whole way you will cry a little bit.
After the movie finished we went back to the Majestic Old Lions Apartments. If anyone is staying in Adelaide any time soon I recommend you stay there. The rooms are great and its in the city so its easy to get around. Plus they have a beautifully court yard like place in the middle. Once we got to the apartments we rested but not for long because my little sister was extremely persistent to get her shopping spree started(It lasted for the whole 4 days!....not joking either!)
Saturday was by far the best day of the trip, apart from shopping all day we also went out to dinner at Parwana an Afghan restaurant on Henley Beach Road, but that was not the exciting part! The best part of the day was going to Cirque Du Soleil's OVO. It was my 4th Cirque Du Soleil show and it was awesome!!! The acts were so good, the music was great and it was so much fun!
While we were there I brought my sister a mask and she wore it around the tent before the show, we managed to get the attention of one of the performers who was walking around on stilts. I wasn't sure if I could take pictures in side the tent so I just left my iPod off for the majority of the time but I did manage to get a few pictures.
The outfit I wore to Cirque Du Soeil

The Big Top!
I loved the show so much! I cant wait for them to come back! My guess is that Kooza or Corteo will be the next show to tour Australia.
On the 3rd day of the trip we again went shopping all day....Mostly in Rundle Mall. On the way out of the mall we were going to get some snacks from my favorite Korean Cafe but they were closed! Hopefully next time I will be able to go there! T.T
Raah Cafe
That night we also went to Glenelg for some fish and chips, we got all dressed up and took a picture together. There was also fire throwing show on the beach too...but my sister wouldn't let us go see it...
The 4th and last day was again full of some shopping in the morning and the long drive home in the afternoon. I took a picture of all the stuff I brought once I got home. I am so happy to be home again even though I wish we lived in Adelaide, hopefully again one day!
Anyways sorry for the awfully long post, I wanted to post it over the 4 days but I couldn't get any internet while I was there. I hope you all had a great weekend.
See you soon! ^.^
