Weekend in Adelaide

Hi Guys! So this past weekend I headed down to Adelaide for a the usually family holiday trip. This time we spent 4 days in the beautiful city I like to call home!

The first thing on the agenda was to pick up a family friend from the airport. I wish I took some pictures of the construction that was being done on it! It looked amazing compared to the last time I saw it. Anyways from there we headed to Marion Shopping Center to get some lunch and watch Les Miserables! OMO! That movie was so beautifully filmed that I started crying when Anna Hathaway starting singing "I Dreamed a Dream". It is definitely a movie worth watching, but if you do decide to go see it I recommend you take some tissues and you are with people you dont mind crying with because I promise you that if you follow the movie the whole way you will cry a little bit.

After the movie finished we went back to the Majestic Old Lions Apartments. If anyone is staying in Adelaide any time soon I recommend you stay there. The rooms are great and its in the city so its easy to get around. Plus they have a beautifully court yard like place in the middle. Once we got to the apartments we rested but not for long because my little sister was extremely persistent to get her shopping spree started(It lasted for the whole 4 days!....not joking either!)

Saturday was by far the best day of the trip, apart from shopping all day we also went out to dinner at Parwana an Afghan restaurant on Henley Beach Road, but that was not the exciting part! The best part of the day was going to Cirque Du Soleil's OVO. It was my 4th Cirque Du Soleil show and it was awesome!!! The acts were so good, the music was great and it was so much fun!

While we were there I brought my sister a mask and she wore it around the tent before the show, we managed to get the attention of one of the performers who was walking around on stilts. I wasn't sure if I could take pictures in side the tent so I just left my iPod off for the majority of the time but I did manage to get a few pictures.

The Big Top!

I loved the show so much! I cant wait for them to come back! My guess is that Kooza or Corteo will be the next show to tour Australia.

On the 3rd day of the trip we again went shopping all day....Mostly in Rundle Mall. On the way out of the mall we were going to get some snacks from my favorite Korean Cafe but they were closed! Hopefully next time I will be able to go there! T.T

Raah Cafe

That night we also went to Glenelg for some fish and chips, we got all dressed up and took a picture together. There was also fire throwing show on the beach too...but my sister wouldn't let us go see it...

The 4th and last day was again full of some shopping in the morning and the long drive home in the afternoon. I took a picture of all the stuff I brought once I got home. I am so happy to be home again even though I wish we lived in Adelaide, hopefully again one day!

Anyways sorry for the awfully long post, I wanted to post it over the 4 days but I couldn't get any internet while I was there. I hope you all had a great weekend.
See you soon! ^.^

Flower Fields

Okay so like I said in my first post I will post a story I wrote about 2 years ago. It was written for a 'Write4Fun' competition,I didn't win but it did get published in one of their short story books which is pretty cool.

Anyways I hope you enjoy and again  Happy New Year!!!

Flower Fields

Once there was a girl named Haruhi Takahashi, who lived with her sick mother in a small shack on the coast of Japan. Haruhi and her mother had lived alone since her father went missing in China during a business trip. She done the washing, cleaning, cooking and tended to her mother all day long, she didn't mind working hard and she didn't mind missing out on school because her father had taught her well before disappearing.
One day while Haruhi was shopping in the local market, she found a book entitled “Flower Fields of Japan”. The inside of the book was spilling with every color in every shade on earth. She was so enchanted by the book and it’s never ending beauty that she brought it and showed her mother. As the two sat and looked at the pages of flower fields and read the text describing the fields and they’re whereabouts, Haruhi would dream of one day being able to see these flowers in all their beauty in front of her and to be able to smell their fragrance floating softly in the air. With these thoughts Haruhi stood and made a promise to her mother,  “Mother, one day when I am older I will go to all these fields and pick bunches and bunches of flowers for you and just their smell alone will make you get better, and we will live in a house full of all the beauty flowers, I promise!...”.
Years passed by and every year Haruhi would dream of being in the flower fields in her book, day by day she would imagine what they would smell like and what they would feel like and without failure she would be able to escape into a world of beauty she created through her dreams and through her book.  Haruhi was now getting older and soon she would have to leave home and her mother to start her own family. She knew she wouldn't be able to see the flower fields if she got married, so she decided to set off in search of them.
Haruhi left her mother in the care of a family friend and set off on her journey across Japan to find and gather the bouquets of flowers for her mother. Haruhi was gone for almost three years and returned home to hear the news her mother had passed away in her absence and was buried in the hills of the countryside. Haruhi went to her mother’s grave carrying all the flowers she had gathered and cleaned her grave site, she placed all the flowers around her tomb stone so in such a way that it looked like a sea of flowers floating around the large slab of stone.
Every year Haruhi visited her mother bring her flowers and after time the flowers began to grow around the  tomb stone and by the time Haruhi had children the whole hill side had turned into a beauty flower field.
